Corporate Comic for Internal Communication: Watt’s Innovation Report

This project is a year-end report for Watt’s collaborators in corporate comic format for internal communication. It combines the company’s definition of innovation, a summary of their 2025 results, and an invitation to keep participating in future initiatives. The Sustainability and Operational Excellence team commissioned it and shared it with the entire organization.

The Process

After working together on videos, visual summaries, illustration systems, and reports during 2025, we decided to explore a new format: a short non-fiction comic. The challenge was to reinforce the concept of innovation across each of the innovation pillars during the year. We also needed to maintain continuity with the visual work teams already recognized and the organization’s own language.

From the narrative structure and editorial decisions through to the illustration itself, this project proposes a new way of thinking about internal communication formats. Stories move people to action in a way documents cannot. A corporate comic for internal communication takes the most important part of the message and packages it in a format everyone already knows. Easy to read. Designed specifically to make complex ideas stick.

The Result

Watt’s shared the six-page corporate comic for internal communication internally, distributed as a PDF. The team received several congratulatory messages. The piece was published in the corporate bulletin.

“Congratulations. If it’s not clear with these drawings, I don’t know what it would take.”

Manager at Watt’s, after receiving the corporate comic.

A concise and memorable reference for how the company understands and communicates innovation, and proof that a different format generates a different response.
